A Season of Giving

Categories: A Monk's Life

It’s true what they say about the spirit of giving being heightened at this time of year. In spite of our being a small fellowship, we have been blessed to bless others through the generosity and compassion of a few.

To date, we have served more than 400 people a hot lunch through the Master’s Table soup kitchen.  We’ve sent weekend nutrition packs home with 36 children who deal with hunger on a regular basis.  And we have adopted two families and provided gifts for their children this Christmas.

Why would we do this?  In a word…love.  It is our belief that the best way to show the world Christ is to love people.  In acts both big and small, loving others goes an awful long way.

During this season of giving, may you see opportunities to show love, and when you do…be generous with it.  The world is in great need.
